Today I am GRATEFUL for:

HeatherNew parents. One of my professors from a couple of years ago has a new baby boy. I’ve seen pictures on Facebook, and I can tell you for a fact he is a beautiful baby. It was so fun today to ask the him how the new baby was doing and watch him just beam. That feeling is something I can relate to. Every time I thought about my baby I was ready to shout from the rooftops that I had the cutest baby in the world. I still feel that way even though she is all grown up.

Fresh fruit. I just had a handful of fresh grapes. They were so good and sweet. I have a feeling there will be another bowl consumed before bedtime.

Mineral Spirits. If you could see my hands, you would know why. I had two tubes of paint today sort of explode, spewing paint out of the bottom. Yuck. And, naturally, one was Prussian Blue which stains like crazy. Tomorrow I need to go get a manicure. I’ve soaked and scrubbed, but the cuticles are still blue. Help, I’m a Smurf!

Thank You father for the gift of children. My sweet baby girl is the second best gift you have given me, second only to You saving me by giving Your Son to die for my sins.  Please bless Professor’s new baby.  Watch over him and keep him from harm.  Bless the Professor and his entire family.

Thank You so much for the fresh grapes today.  They were very, very good.

Praise Gratitude & Joy!Time spent in Alabama with Heather and Kenny, short as it is. Every minute is precious. Have you hugged your kids today?
Answered prayers.
Praise and worship on a walk in the park. This is a beautiful park in Heather’s neighborhood in Alabama. I love walking here.

Today I am GRATEFUL for:

Praise Gratitude and Joy!
1. Waking up in Alabama where I get to spend time with Heather and Kenny.

2. The time I got to spend with Heather after she got home from work last night.

3. Overcoming (well mostly overcoming- but at least facing) my anxiety of driving on expressways and bridges. I drove all the way here all by myself. Breathe deeply, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Slow deep breaths.
